Integax Resourcery is seeking a compliance manager to ensure our company functions legally and ethically while meeting its business goals. They are responsible for developing compliance programs, reviewing company policies, and advising management on possible risks. As a compliance manager, you will make sure that our organisation complies with internal and external regulations. Your duties include working with management and staff to identify regulatory risks and designing internal controls to ensure compliance with the appropriate regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

As a compliance manager in the construction industry, you will ensure that building projects comply with relevant legislation. Duties may include conducting routine site inspections and collecting evidence to prove compliance.

Your responsibility may include the following:

  • Communicating with all employees to ensure they are aware of their role/s in compliance
  • Carrying out detailed research and completing documentation and risk assessments
  • Attending training programs
  • Liaising with external bodies to be aware of changing industry requirements
  • Overseeing implementation and conducting internal inspections and communication with others
  • Visiting sites to ensure that agreed procedures are being implemented
  • Carrying out reviews of processes and adapting plans based on feedback
  • Maintaining records of compliance practices
  • Filing documentation with relevant bodies
  • Producing training materials and sharing best practices throughout a business
  • Working both on-site and in an office.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of BSC/HND degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Architecture or a related field.
  • Must be a registered member of relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Not less than 10 years of proven experience in engineering or compliance officer role
  • Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Brilliant oral and written communication skills.
  • Project and time management skills 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time without supervision
  • Incredible Problem-solving skills

  • Ability to maintain detailed project management records and documentation.
  • Respond to questions and inquiries from various sources regarding engineering and development projects.
  • Plan and organize work to meet changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and be sensitive to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations supporting goals.
  • Research, analyze, and evaluate new service delivery methods and techniques. Interpret and apply federal, state, and local policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Operate office equipment, including computers and supporting word processing, spreadsheet, and the rest.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted during work.
